The Carry Center Announces its 4th Annual Nonprofit Summit for Tuesday, October 6th! The Carry Center for the Advancement of Philanthropy and Nonprofit studies has announced its 4th Annual East Alabama Nonprofit Summit! The summit will take place via zoom on Tuesday, October 6, 2020 from 9:00 am – 12:00 noon CST and will be free and open to the public! This years nonprofit summit will feature fundraising, resource development and nonprofit leadership experts. The Summit, will convene nonprofit leaders, administrators, board members, volunteers, philanthropists and Auburn University faculty and students.

The theme of the 2020 nonprofit summit is “Putting Knowledge into action,” The program will culminate with two keynote speakers: Legendary football player, coach and leadership expert Coach Bill Curry; and philanthropist and writer Echo Garrett, who will be representing the nonprofit organization ‘The Orange Duffel Bag Initiative.’

Prior to Coach Curry and Echo’s presentation, there will be two breakout sessions featuring several outstanding nonprofit leaders including:  Burton Crenshaw, president, Central Alabama Community Foundation; Dena Little, founder and president, Storybook Farm; Ben Moser, president and CEO, United Way of the Chattahoochee Valley; Jennifer Shawa, director of development, Twin Cedars Youth and Family Services, Inc.; and Chad Dubois, communications and marketing director, Central Alabama Community Foundation.
