Below are ways that you can make a positive impact through charitable donations. This decision will help ensure that your loved one has a lasting impact on their community. Should you choose to designate the Community Foundation of East Alabama to receive donations in memory of a loved one, we suggest the following be included in obituaries and messages following the death of a loved one.

General Donations:

“Contributions may be made in memory of [deceased name] to the Community Foundation of East Alabama, P.O. Box 165, Opelika, AL 36803-0165. Donations can be made via their website, cfeastalabama.org, or by check sent to the listed address.”

Donations to a Specific Fund:

“Contributions may be made in memory of [deceased name] to the [Name of Fund] at the Community Foundation of East Alabama. Checks must be maid payable to the Community Foundation of East Alabama with [Name of Fund] in the memo line. P.O. Box 165, Opelika, AL 36803-0165. Donations may also be made online at cfeastalabama.org/funds.”
